He has multidisciplinary backgrounds in software development, creative technology consultation, museum installation, audio visualization, and sound design. He is experienced in branded content production and experiential marketing. Highlighted skills include gesture recognition, augmented reality & virtual reality, interactive exhibits, touch tables and media walls. Jorge Avila is a creative technologist, software developer, and multimedia artist with expertise in immersive experiences and interactive installations. With a foundation in visual arts oriented to multimedia, Avila skillfully fuses technology with creativity, balancing commercial appeal with an experimental edge. He began his journey in 2010 by developing websites, apps, AR, and early interactive installations for local studios. In 2014, he moved to NYC,, where he interned at Zach Lieberman’s YesYesNo Studio and worked at James Clar Studio, honing his skills in real-time graphics and Physical computing. Avila has a deep comprehension of aesthetics and a keen understanding of societal patterns, which enable him to produce commercially viable projects but also niche, cutting-edge work. His innovative approach creates outputs that challenge the norm, blending art and technology in unexpected ways. Avila's work has taken him to studios and artists across New York City, Seoul, Dubai, and Manila. His art has been showcased in renowned festivals such as Mutek, Dumbo Art, and CCD.
